Beaver

Nov. 11/16 – Nov. 27/16

A female hero myth set in Northern Ontario. Beatrice “Beaver” Jersey learns to grow beyond her circumscribed world.

Set in Timmins, Ontario, Beaver is a poignant coming of age story placing an eccentric young woman at the centre of the ‘hero’s journey’, as she struggles to grow beyond her circumscribed world. Smashing through the Bechdel test with flying colours, Beaver explores the idiosyncratic dynamics between generations of women as they attempt to free themselves from cycles of addiction and toxic familial patterns.
